Shandy Hall
Home of Laurence Sterne (1713-68), one time vicar of Coxwold and the author of The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman and Sentimental Journey
The Hall contains the world's largest collection of first editions of Sterne's works and is open on Wednesdays and Sundays certain days of the week in summer. The garden is open daily except Saturday.

*The Centre for the study and development of narrative is based at Shandy Hall, where Laurence Sterne (1713-68) wrote The Life and Opinions ofTristram Shandy, Gentleman and exploded the notion of what a narrative might be. Asterisk* will also be an online focus for narrative study and development internationally.
